Madonna: My Impression

I had always heard about Madonna, never in a positive tone and I have been very curious about this artist over last 8-9 years in US of A. Last week, I heard rerun of Savage Nation, 910 AM, complaining about Medonna writing some books on Kabala, and It really peaked my interest, went to library and picked up collection of all Medonna hits since 1993.

Based on all the Songs I heard, read and watched since 1993, I am impressed. I am watching a very mature and solid artist, performing in front of camera with solid confidence, somebody who does not care about conventional expectations about what woman should say, should do or what sort of opinions she should express in her music.

The song Bad Girl - really impressing and the video has very surprise end, the song Rain - a nicely expressed emotional song, very nicely filmed as well but best of all is the Take a Bow.
I have always liked the song, but never realized that it has been expressed so nicely in a Video-Album by Madonna. Hey, till today, I was not even aware that this is Madonna song.

Recently read about her documentary, will try to get my hands around it next week. Will post how I feel about it.

Conclusion: Savage Nation is truely consrvative radio, I am not defending Madonna, but hey, I am not hating her for what she is free to express as an artist. If Savage Nation does not like an unconvential artist, then that is Michael's problem. He himself is totally unconventional, hence popular talk show host.

Kabbalah is on Jewish Mysticism. Most Orthodox Jews would say that Kabbalah is not a good practice, and actually goes against one of the ten commandments.

Anyhow, I say that Madonna is cool for exploring different things, but her dabbles in Kabbalah, Hinduism ect is just to be "trendy", and quite frankly is annoying. I do enjoy her music, but really think that she needs to grow up already. She does not act like a respectable 40 something middle aged woman, and that publicity stunt when she kissed Brittany Spears was just disgusting and highly immature.

I wonder why so many celebrities think it is cool to dabble in Kabbalah when they do not fully study the Jewish religion?
